Wells Fargo History Museum (FREE)
Within the Wells Fargo high-rise building in downtown Phoenix, you can experience a bit of the Old West history with a recreated Wells Fargo office and the stagecoaches from the late 1880s that they made famous.  In addition, you can see gold nuggets from Wickenburg, antique guns, and a Old West collection and art gallery.   The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.  It is located on Adams Street, between 1st and 2nd Avenues. Phoenix Police Museum (FREE)
This small museum presents the stories of men and women who have served the city of Phoenix over the years. You'll learn about Phoenix's first marshal, Henry Garfias, and his challenging job of dealing with lawless elements of Phoenix during the 1880s to the police equipment that shows the many changes in communications and transportation over the decades. There is a memorial room that honors those who have lost their lives or suffered injuries while answering the call of duty.  The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (except holidays).  It is located at 101 S. Central Avenue and Jefferson Street.  (602) 534-7278. 

Museo Chicano ($2 for adults, $1 for students and seniors)
This unique museum features the vibrant art of Latin America and focuses on Chicano and Mexican culture in its galleries. Each exhibit changes several times a year. A gift shop offers colorful art and crafts, including prints, posters, cards, jewelry, books, and videos.  The museum is open from 10 a.m. to        4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.  It is located at 147 E.
